XEmacs tries me // at 23:59
This is really starting to annoy me! XEmacs on wyvern has been
periodically entering a state where it just sits there, beeps, and
prints an error message and won't do anymore until I exit it.
"Invalid back reference" — what the @#@#$!@#%%%^@ does that mean?
