A few weeks ago I followed a link to a visualisation of someone’s bike ride on https://relive.cc and was impressed with the insight it gave to a ride. So I signed in, carefully read the terms and conditions and privacy policy as one always does… and linked it with my strava account. Of course since then I don’t think I’ve ridden anywhere interesting, so it has waited until yesterday afternoon’s long ride home to get a decent video of my own.
Relive 'Home via creek trail, bunyip pond & Djerring trail'
On the map, one of the longer variants of my homewards commute; north out of Monash University on Gardiner and Forster roads. Follow the Scotchman’s Creek trail through Mount Waverley, do the Lawrence road hill-climb, Waverley rail trail down to Holmesglen, Gardiners Creek trail and a little bit of the Anniversary trail, rejoin the Gardiners Creek trail around to the Glen Iris wetlands – and my favourite bunyip pond – then under the freeway, take the back streets and Darling Road to Carnegie, pass a block of cars illegally parked on Koornang road that the council always ignores, then on to the Djerring trail for two and a half suburbs and I’m home.
