⛅ You ready for another beating? You shoulda never came back!
Hot dry summery day, gumnuts and bark crunching under the tyres. Ravens sheltering in the shade, beaks open panting. Up Gardiners creek exploring, through Damper creek reserve and home along Scotchmans creek, with intervening suburban roads
Ended up with a splitting headache and aching neck. I’d really like to punch in the face whoever on a @#$@#$ Melbourne council decided that on a bike route they’d put signs 4m up on poles so you look up for directions…. and a set of stairs to crash down with a hidden ramp off the side. Luck, reactions, and a solidly built AWOL meant I stayed upright, didn’t bite my tongue off and fall crashing onto the Burwood highway
Then riding through Mount Waverley I made a new friend - a baby ringtail possum that had fallen out of the tree and was making its way back over the hot grass while being attacked by two magpies. Rescued & returned to the tree, hopefully where mum can recover it
