Changing things around, decided to ride to work along the creek, checking whether the council has got rid of the wasp nest. Nope, latest update is an email that “it will be inspected”. Lovely mist in the bushland along the creek
Then off through the Huntingdale wetlands to see progress on the new path, it grows, it grows. Had to stop to let a concrete truck through and discovered that the traffic management guy was someone who’d been stationed next to our house a month or so ago so stood around chatting for a while.
Next interruption was a survey of path users at the Scotchmans creek path crossing over Stanley av. on their experiences with it. Its a nicer ride across the road, but don’t rely on motorists descending Stanley avenue slowing and stopping like the Give Way signs say they should.
Around and under the freeway, through the last bit of bush, up Forster road and the roadworks back under the freeway. No minimum passing distance rules in morning peak hour traffic, same behaviour as always.
