Surprisingly warm, but ridiculously windy. For all its weight the AWOL is such a wobbly beast in the wind, front end keeps trying to take off into the shrubbery. Even with glasses on I ended up with eyes full of grit & sticks.
Djerring trail to Caulfield, a lap of the race course, down through Hedgely Dene and back along Waverley road and up to Murrumbeena, carefully threading my way through the intersection where some of Melbourne’s Marvellous Motorists (tm) had driven into each other and left cars, bits of cars and fluids from cars across the roads. Final stretch home along the Djerring trail where a surprising number of people seemed to have decided it was suddenly “walk on the wrong side friday”
