A cold rain front moved in from the south-west earlier in the afternoon and its been raining ever since. The best part of going out for a ride in the rain, at least on the bike paths, is muppet factor of zero, there’s almost nobody else around. Worst part of riding in the rain on the bike paths is that they’ve got no camber and no drainage so you get drenched, far wetter than riding on the roads
The pretend commute triangle; down the Djerring trail to Clayton, up to then through Monash University, out the top and north until you get to Scotchmans Creek, then downstream to Oakleigh and a few streets and home. Very quiet, I even managed to get a lull in the usual crazy traffic exiting the hospital carp arks and didn’t have to dodge health-care workers ignoring give-way signs
All up not quite as wet as I anticipated, but pretty wet. The half-full coffee pot when I got home was well received
