How about that, 700 days in a row, on the bike… even if only for ten minutes to go up to the shops for some bread. December 26 2019 to today, I double checked the figures!
New shoes with old cleats, I only had to stop twice to whip out the Allen keys and do a little adjusting. Same as the old shoes except camo instead of plain black ‘cos those were the ones on sale. I think its the first time in my life that I’ve been able to remove the old cleats and move them to new shoes, that the bolts weren’t either rusted or chewed away
North through the suburbs to Gardiners creek, around to Ashburton, pout because my favourite gelato shop has vanished – “end of lease” says the sign. Then down Ferndale track, around to Blakes Feast and stop for a coffee… except I got told off for putting my bike near the tables and not at the far end in the bike rack, so I left. Along the creek track to the Glen Iris wetlands, up through Hedgeley Dene and a gelato at Central Park … was not told off for putting my bike near the cafe door. Home along the Djerring trail.
700 days… can I make it to a 1000 in a row? Or even to 800?
