More straightforward than my route to collect the #passbox two weeks ago, Inkerman street, St Kilda road and then La Trobe street bike lane through the city to avoid Google’s directions to ride past the Queen Vic. markets and Victoria street traffic jam on a Saturday. Far more successful and much quicker, albeit wet as the light rain came down all the way in. Bumper to bumper traffic up St Kilda road and through the city, generally easily passed in the bike lanes, although the average motorist’s “1m passing” is laughable, the approach seems to be that so long as their car isn’t in the bike lane, or isn’t in it very much, she’ll be right
Dropped off the PassBox and cameras, then home along Queensberry street, miss the north side of the city and out through Richmond to the river, then follow the river around to Gardiners creek and home up the creek trail
