Afternoon ride in along the creek path to Richmond, then a lap of the boulevard and home along the Outer Circle/Anniversary trail, much the same as last Sunday. I took a different route through Richmond and Abbotsford & wound my way around industrial buildings on the city side of the river, trying to remember where the roads went from some years ago when I rode here more often. Lots of wattles out flowering all along the river & in all the parkland, and a very full and very brown river flowing strongly.
Annoyingly, had my second puncture in two rides of the AWOL. A blackberry thorn through the front tyre as I was heading home. Stopped at Hartwell to repair it only to find that my pump had disintegrated… luckily another couple on bikes pointed out the council bike repair stations along the trail, one was only 50m away! Tube out, patched, pumped up and back towards home, stopping in for a beer on the way
