Up to Erskine Falls, around through the Otways, then down to Pennyroyal and back to Lorne. Saw some wallabies, found a near new phone in the bush, was attacked by a scary farm dog
Great story around the phone; I found it on the way back up Pennyroyal-Wymbooliel road where it enters the state forest & becomes Normans Track, sitting about 3m off the track under the “Otway State Forest” sign and I thought it must belong to the group of riders I’d met up on the Mount Sabine road who’d just come up. The phone was dead flat so no chance of getting a call. I took it home and charged it, found that it had no screen lock! Called the most recent caller (from mid-July!) and found that it had been lost in the bush for almost two months, and held hugely important photos, not backed up anywhere else - of course. Phone was reunited with its owner the following day
