Down to Frankston and back on the roadie, I don’t ride it much but although less comfortable, it is quicker, so I should make it through any of the Around the Bay checkpoints before cutoff times
Inland and down along the new paths alongside assorted new freeways, minor confusion where there’s no useful signs and I had to do a bit of back and forth to rediscover the trail. Found my way onto the Peninsula link trail and down to the old Baxter railway line for a right turn and downhill and bay-wards into Frankston. Then back up the bay and in and out of strangely thick fog. Seemed very odd for around noon and warmish spring weather, I’m sure there’s some important meteorological reason for it. Tried to stop for a coffee at Seaford but it was lunch time and packed, then kept going up to The Little French Deli in Bonbeach for a very enjoyable coffee and pastry. Onwards up the bay, in and out of fog banks, then back inland and home along Glenferrie road
