Lazy sunny Sunday morning and out for a recreational ride, no need to push myself to get ready for the big event, no long hours today, just an enjoyable hour down and around the lake, then back up through Clayton for a coffeeneuring coffee – my second of the year’s challenge
Plenty of people out walking around the lake, and picnicking of fishing at the southern side, the warm weather brings them out
The ponds further south along the gravel track had overflown the path some time in the past few weeks judging by all the washed rubbish on the ground, and the frogs were screaming today. I stopped for a few minutes to record the pobblebonks, then continued my lap of the block
Back up to the main road, then around to Clayton road and straight north to Clayton shops, currently road-works central. Not sure what’s happening there, but there are lanes closed, bollards and tape everywhere, and a number of confused drivers.
Coffeeneuring stop number two was at The Grain Emporium for a very tasty slice of baklava and a cappuccino while sitting in the sun
