Intended to stop in somewhere and grab a quick coffee, but didn’t
Windy but thankfully dry loop around some ‘burbs. Up to Caulfield park, then Glenferrie road and into stationary traffic of expensive cars around Toorak and Kooyong. Eventually got onto the bike path and meandered my way back towards Oakleigh and home
Somewhere along the way I saw some money on the road and thought it a gold coin, dithered a bit, then turned around and went back to spot it and pick it up. Laughed when it turned out to be only 20c. Oh well. With the huge uptake of cashless transactions the amount of loose change – and notes – that people lose has dropped right off, but its my firm belief that if you don’t stop and pick something up that you spot, then the household gods of lost & found objects will stop tossing things in your path for you to spot
