Took the longer route home today, all the way along the creek to Malvern East, then along the roads to Caulfield and back down the Djerrring trail. A few interesting minor events
There’s a tree down on the Scotchmans Creek trail, all the recent rain and wind has brought a largish wattle down. Pinged the council, they usually get rid of them within a day or two
More scary, the driver at the Atkinson street bike path crossing. Lights were red and about three cars were stopped while a bloke with two dogs walked across ahead of me, I followed about 3m behind. As soon as he’d passed in front of the car she took off, straight through the red and almost into me! I yelled and swerved and she stopped, and I half tried pointing up at her red light as I picked myself back up and went around the front. Soon as I was out of the way she took off again, while the driver behind blasted on the horn! I guess she had no idea that there was a light there and just thought it was a zebra crossing!
