Miserable gray rainy day, I managed to head out in between showers for a cold lap around the Rosstown railtrail as far as the Frankston line, back up to Caulfield and home along the Djerring - with detours for all the rail works. Heading west I had my eyes almost shut and face turned aside from the constant pelting of paperbark flowers and leaves blasted down on me by the westerly wind. Rail-side path heading north is closed off so had to use side roads, then ran into heavy traffic at Glen Huntly road, complete with some bizarre driver behaviour – people hooting at drivers who couldn’t move, drivers crunching up over traffic islands to drive down the wrong side of the road, a tradie in his ute who just put on his hazard lights and stopped in the middle of the road, and a delivery driver who forced another driver to reverse back into a car park so he could drive in as well. Was more than happy to get away from there and up towards Caulfield. Really all a bit of a chore
