Afternoon bike fettling before tomorrow’s Alpine Classic, then a gentle roll out to Wandiligong and back, part bike path, part road, part mowed paddock! The first third from Bright to Wandi is the bike path, which could do with some barriers to stop the ultra-light pilots and MTB owners from parking their 4WDs across the path. Lots of broken glass and overgrown blackberries too, the warm wet winter has let them run amok. Then around Wandiligong and out towards the south on a road I’ve not ridden before, checking the map and thinking I’d use “Fredos lane” to get across to the road back … well Fredos lane turned out to be mostly a bit of paddock between two properties, recently slashed by tractor, but thankfully heading downhill, so an interesting bit of riding! Then up the hill past the pub as it shuts for a renovation, back through Wandiligong’s main street and rejoin the bike path back to Bright
