After a glance at the weather radar I went out for the day’s afteroon ride a little early, and a good thing too! Blustery winds all the way around and a few light spots of rain on the last few km on the Djerring trail home… then ten minutes later it started pouring down
North through Oakleigh, up to Gardinders Creek, around to the Anniversary trail and Ferndale trail, then back through the suburbs to Caulfield and the Djerring trail home.
Three run-ins with the same crap driver; first he tried to reverse out into me on Drummond street and threw his hands in the air when I swerved around him rather than let him drive backwards into me, then tail-gated me all the way down Drummond rather than passing, despite there being no traffic the other way, and presumably because I was half-way out in the lane to avoid the other three drivers who tried the same reverse-out trick. Finally went past in Logie street, but gave a big hook to the wheel and swerved in at me to push me into the gutter and show me where he thought I should be. He promptly got stuck in traffic on Atkinson street so I rode past and off into the distance, then half a suburb later he passed me on the way up to Waverley road, another swerve & a hook in and plant the foot to speed off. Lovely people our local motorists
