Five minutes before we were about to leave home it started pouring with rain, quick change of transport for the school kid to take the bus, then I waited a few minutes and rode off into the rain. Very wet, the spray jacket was not up to it as it was most definitely not “spray”
Took the shortest route through the burbs, also ends up avoiding the lakes that form on the bike paths
One brief pause near Clayton road as I stopped to pick up four passports lying on the side of the road! Soaking wet, together with some national ID cards for all concerned. An hour or so hunting online and a colleague got in touch with the owner and he came and collected them – passport office had been useless when I phoned them, totally disinterested and told me to just post them back or drop them off if I happened to be passing through Docklands
