Must have timed this one well, hardly any traffic leaving the uni and down to Scotchmans Creek trail, just screeching birds and late afternoon sun. Cool along the creek, then warming a little when you come out from under the trees and rejoin the concrete and tarmac of Oakleigh. Roadworks still going on in Stanley Avenue, and the confusing traffic-management traffic lights made a motorist angry and want to drive into me. The bike path crosses the road and there’s Give Way signs telling the motorists to … Give Way. BUT there’s now also traffic management lights because the road is reduced to a single lane, so drivers coming down the hill see the green light and they go, refusing to give way to cyclists crossing, who have NO notice or signs that this will happen! Sure looking forward to the roadworks being complete and this mess going away
