Up the Deans Marsh road to the ridge at Benwerrin, got screamed at by a bogun in a ute. Not even on my side of the road, he was stopped at roadworks traffic lights waiting for the downhill turn as I rode through, two cars in front of me, four or five behind. Presumably I was “holding up traffic” and should have teleported out of the way, given that the lane had no shoulder either side, roadworks bollards or swampy forest
Off into the cool damp quiet of the Otways along the Mount Sabine road, surprisingly little wildlife today, I think I saw a single Crimson rosella and about four or five female Satin Bowerbirds, and off across a paddock a Swamp wallaby. Later on the way down the Erskine Falls road I could see a mob of roos in another paddock, then the surprise meeting with six or seven of them on the grass at the end of the caravan park in town
