Err woops! Managed to get 5km from home before I realised I was only wearing a beanie, family hadn’t noticed either. Didn’t die
We rode up to Caulfield then down along the Frankston rail line to explore the new paths and crossings now that the level crossings at Neerim and Glen Huntly roads have been replaced, the rail line dropping down and passing under them both. The old bluestone lane to Neerim road has vanished and will be a soulless concrete canyon when it reopens, but like a lot of the other surrounding work it hasn’t been completed yet. From Glen Huntly road down to the Rosstown Rail Trail the road is lined by bollards and fencing, then apparently closed, but there’s a gap along the footpath where pedestrians and cyclists can continue on. Then home along side streets parallel to the Rosstown route, enjoying the magnolia blooms along the way
