Went out for two hours in the best part of the day, the sunny end of the weekend, near perfect riding. Up to Caulfield then off down alongside the Frankston line cutting back and forth and around to see what’s been happening with the levelcrossing removals down that way. Then it was west to the bay, a minor detour somewhere down into Hampton, and a very busy bayside ride back up to Elwood. Packed with people up around the bay, the pedestrian-only path full of walkers but no bikes, the bike-only path half-full of cyclists having to make their way around the inevitable walkers who the rules don’t apply to. The final stretch home inland along Glen Huntly road, slow moving traffic and parked cars, and a few new sections of bike lanes once we got to the rail line again
