It was cold, it was windy, it rained a few times. Oddly enough, I really enjoyed it. Down Inkerman street to St Kilda and a spur of the moment decision to head into Albert Park for a lap of the lake, then a #coffeeneuring cappuccino at “For Change” – a cafe in an old station building on the light rail line. The trip home involved some Middle Park side streets back to St Kilda, down the bay as far as Elwood then inland alongside a very full Elwood canal. Water over a few of the low level crossings and stopped to read the information plaque on how Elwood is all built on drained swampland, then inland along Glen Huntly road
As usual there was some sort of mass event taking place in Albert Park, hundreds of people rugged up in their coats all walking around the lake with numbers pinned on. Swans too, dozens of swans, on the water, on the grass, in the parks. Pairs of swans, lone swans, groups of swans and swans with cygnets. Thankfully there were no angry hissy swans, so I was safe from that form of angry bird
