An afternoon break while working from home, out and about on the #fixie to see the extent of the storm damage from yesterday. Seemed quite localised to Hughesdale & Oakleigh, branches … and trees … down along the Djerring trail and Scotchmans Creek trail, the former has been cleared, the latter simply closed off to be done later. Boyd park and Gardiners Creek look almost untouched, same with Hedgeley Dene and the streets of Glen Iris, Malvern East, Murrumbeena and Carnegie. Only as I got back in to Oakleigh did I meet the blocked off roads and, as expected, angry drivers who blasted on the horn because a single bike – me – was going up the narrow section and they couldn’t get past until I turned off
