A grey drizzly afternoon and a short loop down south for a lap of Karkarook lake. Took a non-standard way of getting there – down along Golf Links road through Oakleigh South rather than to Huntingdale and down that way. Most of the trees uprooted by the big storm in mid-February have finally been cleared away, but a lot of the damage remains
Around the lake then back home up Carroll road, a small flock of Red-rump parrots on the power lines catching the setting sun and glowing bright yellow-green in the light
