I’ll take a sunny blue sky and 5-10°C over a grey cloudy one and 15°C any day. This morning was the former, glorious. Still too, so every tiny change in temperature as I rode in and out of shadows was apparent. The lorikeets were enjoying the sunshine too, screaming the heads off up in the flowering gums
This morning’s driver award must go to the individual who, heading towards me, drove onto the roundabout … so I slowed. She wasn’t indicating, so I thought she was going straight ahead and I started edging forward. Then she stopped, almost off the roundabout on the road we were both on, so I rode on. There was a loud honking from the car behind because she was still parked there, then she turned right, almost over the traffic island and did a u-turn around the roundabout, all the while never indicating. Of course 200m further up the road she passed me, about 20cm passing distance, death grip on the steering wheel and hunched forward staring terrified through the windscreen. I wonder if she has a license…
