A warm autumn afternoon with the sun out and no wind, off down south for a lap of Karkarook lake and a bit extra. Off around the gravel track that borders the wasteland, then west along Kingston, Keys and Wickham roads … even including a minor detour down “Viking court”, the scene of my crash and injury on . I still can’t figure out how I came off, the ditch in the road is the full width, but shallow, and barely twitches the bars. Must have just got it wrong or a capricious god decided to smite me
Further west than I intended, found myself almost at the Nepean highway so I turned around and zig-zagged a bit north and east, came out on South road, from there it was straight back up to Murrumbeena on East Boundary road, dodging a few doors and Sunday drivers and setting a few PBs along the way
