Oasis Bakery is a haven of tasty treats; spices, pastries, ingredients, and with a cafe to rest in after an exausting quarter an hour of selecting goodies for birthday snacks. Getting there is always a bit of a challenge, neither Cam nor I can ever remember exactly which side roads to ride along, there’s always a chance we’ll either completely overshoot, or end up at North road a block too early and have to sneak up the footpath. Today it was a near overshoot
After shopping and restorative drinks it was a very hot, very windy, ride home almost retracing our route, but into a blustery hot northerly … and dodging the muppet in the Tesla who choose to reverse out of their driveway straight into my path, then continued on across the road an up the opposite driveway to get out of the way. As Cam said (from behind), “personally, I’d have stopped and not risked a bike wheel straight into my passenger door”
