A very hot afternoon and nobody wanted to join me for a ride, not even a gentle roll up through the trees to Wandiligong, so I went alone
Bike path up to Wandi, then along the creek-side track to the Chinese bridge and a brief paddle in the creek. Tried to get from there back to the road on the tracks but I kept running into “private property” signs on fences, I’m sure I’ve been this way previously … oh well. Ended up crossing the creek and coming out on the road up near the pub.
Then it was off down past Nightingale Brothers and on a little way, a check of the map showed a promising track off to the left and a possible trail back to the village so I gave it a go. A short gravelly climb, then what appears to just be a mowed section between two boundary fences, but is “the lane”. It then stays mostly level through the bush, half-way up the ridge above Morses Creek road and pops out in Wandi directly across the road from the pub … unfortunately the pub that was closed
Back through Wandiligong and the trail to Bright, followed by a refreshing ale at the brewery
