Out for a cautiously gentle ride this afternoon, not quite the hottest part of the day but probably close to it. The Garmin said 36.5°C as I left home and it only went up from there … just over 40°C riding along mostly under the trees along the Rosstown Rail Trail towards Glen Huntly, then climbing to high of 45°C on the exposed tarmac and concrete coming home straight along Glen Huntly road. All praise urban trees!
Stopped in for a gelato at my favourite place, then had to frantically consume it to keep pace with the melting! Not many other people out riding, although there were plenty shopping along Glen Huntly road
