Up the trail to Murrumbeena, down to Gardiners Creek, up the Anniversary trail to Ferndale trail. Nearly witnessed a head-on as a 14-15yr-old all full of enthusiasm pedaled madly up behind me and pulled out, overtook staring left at me with a “hah, how good am I” expression … and nearly hit the guy coming down the hill towards us. Some swerving took place, but amazingly no shouting
Then off down the Ferndale trail to the rejoin Gardiners, back around to the Glen Iris wetlands which have started to refill with water – council works nearing completion, the water is back but the massive piles of mud and reeds are still waiting to be trucked away
Up to Carnegieand back along the Djerring trail, contemplating stopping in for a beer … but resisted
