One too many trucks, utes or large 4WDs has cut the corner at the Nott and driven over the footpath – the Melbourne Water pit cover has crumbled and vanished, leaving a 4m deep open manhole in the bike path! Only about 3-4m from the door to the public bar too, so square in stumbling range. Wonder how long it’ll take to fix this one?
A bit of a rambling route home in the cool, err, cold. Up through Mount Waverley to check on the old house, no further action as it teeters between renovation and demolition. Off down alongside the railway until I decided to turn south for home, then got a wee bit lost and confused in the gloomy suburban streets. Finally found my way out, down to the freeway, along the path and home through Oakleigh
