Slight variation while leaving Monash, I got boxed in on Bayview Avenue and couldn’t get across to the off road path on the far side, so stayed on the road and up Gardiner Road past endless cars all the way to the Nott, then switched across. Faster, narrower channel between cars and kerbs, but far less chance of being taken out by drivers at cross streets ignoring the Give Way signs …
… then was nearly taken out by a driver ignoring a Give Way sign coming out of the industrial park, straight through the Give Way, straight across the bike path, then stopped at the edge of the road to wait for “the real traffic” square in front of me. Driver got offended that I ended up leaning on his 4WD and shouting. Rider on the fixie behind me was amused by the volume of commentary and non-impact
Then a lovely chill late afternoon ride through the wattles along the creek trail
