Lazy sunny day riding from Mansfield to Bonnie Doon after a cafe breakfast, then halfway to Merton Jo’s rear tubeless went flat, with sealant everywhere all around one side of the rim, no visible puncture[1] but we couldn’t reinflate it. Couldn’t get the valve out to try a tube so Cam and I rode on towards Yarck, intending to drop off Cam and panniers then for me to go and fetch the car from Yea, while Jo walked back towards Bonnie Doon. Along the way Jo got a lift from Glen and his ute, so we met up at Yarck after a brisk ride by Cam and I. Then beers and unwinding at the Yarck pub while we tried to find the B&B, which Google was having difficulties telling us how to get to, despite it being right on the rail trail!
Hate those tubeless, nothing but trouble on her bike! They’re coming off and tubes going in – once we get home, manage to get the valve out and all the sticky mess removed
[1] Later we found there was a puncture, about 2mm long, sealant coming out everywhere around the full sides of the rim, but none out the hole in the tyre!
