Some torrential downpours from about 11am onwards and I was wondering if I’d be able to get out for a ride without getting soaked. Anyway, I snuck out between showers in the early afternoon and headed down to Gardiners Creek to see how much rain we’d had. The creek was roaring, full of run-off from the suburbs and well up over its banks in a few places. On around to the Glen Iris wetlands which were, unsurprisingly, wet. The route home was up through side streets and lanes, smugly arriving home half an hour or so before the next storm front
