Out of Kakadu and into Arnhem Land today, we drove to Oenpelli across the famous Cahill’s Crossing, then another hot hike up into stone country. Stunning landscapes, fascinating history and stories from Sean, our local guide. The rock art could have been painted last year, could have been painted last century, but some it was painted tens of thousands of years ago, a truly timeless place. What … and who … will be here in another ten years, hundred years, thousand years?
My Garmin didn’t like being in my pocket and walking at this speed, so it thinks we only covered under 1km. Something odd about the track it produces too, the visualizer I use to draw a track over a photo gives up completely
