Very busy along Gardiner Road with traffic leaving Monash Uni and traffic entering the pub, complete with mobs of pedestrians blithely ignoring traffic and stepping straight in front of me. Dodg’em cars around the drivers parking on and driving across the bike path, then blissfully empty further down the hill and towards the creek
…so who forgot to charge the headlight on Tuesday after getting home. “Nah, she’ll be right …” It was alright, for the first half of the ride home. Then it was not alright and it was quite dark. At least the Scotchmans Creek Trail is white concrete, so it shows up very nicely under the ambient lights. Managed to get a few brief intervals of flashy light for the road crossings, and passed by three police at the station without a word being said about the lack of head light – I had the “Oh dear, it must have gone flat, good thing I’m nearly home” all prepared, but didn’t need to use it
