Bit of a mixed bag, I took the AWOL with us to Cam’s hockey match and went out for a ride around Bulleen. An interesting little loop around some billabongs and ponds near the river, but far too much construction works, steep roads, and scary drivers around the suburb. One entertaining part was finding a bike path that runs straight through the suburb along an easement, I guess for water or gas pipes. Up hill, down hill, but dead straight!
Nearly got taken out by a learner as I was descending a hill at 30km/h, she pulled straight out of a side road in front of me, I whipped the bike around the car and passed her, then was treated to a massive blast on the horn – so clearly one of Melbourne’s Marvellou Motorists in training here. Sadly no coffees to be found either, all the little shops seem to be closed by this time on a Sunday
